Geotechnical Opportunity- Plymouth
A skilled and competent geotechnical engineer is urgently required by this environmental geotechnical and geo-contamination team. Currently involved in a variety of structural, transport, remediation, quarrying, coastal, geo-environmental, and nuclear projects this is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your skills base and expand your geotechnical expertise. This is a progressing team with a rapidly expanding workload and as such they are currently looking to recruit geotechnical engineers across all levels of experience ranging from Principal and Senior Consultants to Site Engineers.
Qualifications: You will have a BSc and MSc in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, mining geology, applied geology or similar.
Experience: You will have prior experience of undertaking geotechnical site investigations and will ideally have site analysis and interpretation experience also.
Salary: £25-30,000
Duties:
Undertaking site sampling, monitoring, and observation.
Supervision of site investigations
Scheduling laboratory testing for geotechnical and geo-environmental samples
Assisting in/ supervision of drilling and test-pitting programmes
Geotechnical design work
Undertaking foundation works, slope stability projects, stabilization projects and rail projects
Producing detailed and accurate factual and interpretive reports
Liaising with clients to maintain positive relations
Working on a variety of sites so adaptability to different scenarios is essential.
Typical Projects:
This is a new role that will develop and grow along with the team. Currently involved in a variety of ground engineering and mine reclamation projects this role offers variety and diversity. As well as offering internal support to other offices you will also undertake ground engineering, civils, structures, highways, and coastal projects. A fantastic opportunity to make a job your own and develop it with the team.
