This top five civil engineering contractor has proven and extensive civil engineering and project management skills, delivering engineering excellence through cost-efficient, client focused solutions from minor works through to major infrastructure projects.Their Midland Region is expanding to accommodate a number of high profile regional projects and as a result they have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Foreman to join their team. The job description is as follows;•Management of operational activities•Ensure that all plant and equipment is suitable for purpose•Management of the operational activities of the supply chain•Maintain operational records•Put into action the plans for works•Organise sub-contractors for the work•Ensure that all projects are completed on time and budget•Ensure that the necessary resources are available to deliver the required performance Responsibilities and duties will be;•Monitor performance standards•Ensure that all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures are maintained•Produce and maintain an operational training matrix•Effectively liaise and manage operational interfaces•Checking labour and plant returns•Organising the logistics of the site•Experienced foreman or section foreman•Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation•Non-confrontational manner•IT skillsThe company is offering a very attractive benefits package and has an excellent review and progression process which identifies the training and experiences each individual needs to progress in his/her career.The size of the group also means that they are able to offer real job security.
