Lead Payload RF Systems Engineer Electronic/Electrical Portsmouth Hampshire, South EastSalary - Negotiable We are a recruitment agency and we are looking for recruit an experienced Lead Payload RF Systems Engineer for our Portsmouth based client.An experienced payload systems engineer with a strong background in payload input section elements (such as LNAs, Downconverters, Receivers) and their application to advanced telecommunications payloads is required to become a key member of the payload engineering team at Portsmouth. Working under an Engineering Manager, the role involves overseeing input section activities across all active projects including specification, problem resolution, validation and in orbit anomaly follow-up. It also encompasses forward looking aspects such as R&D, new product introduction and continuous improvement. Qualifications:Mandatory: BSc in Engineering/ Electronics/ScienceProven relevant post-graduate engineering experienceA demonstated high level of competence in RF systems or hardware gained in a position of professional responsibility. Hardware experience in input section elements and technologies as applicable to RF communications systemsDesirable : Higher degree in Electronics, Communications or Aerospace EngineeringExperience in several of the following:Spaceborne communications system design and analysisPayload system design and analysisPayload integration, validation and testDigital and analogue communicationsRF component design, build and test for an aerospace application A methodical approach to work, with sufficient commitment and drive complete tasks, even where adverse conditions are encounteredStrong analytical skillsExperience of working directly with customers/suppliers and with the ability to present ideas and concepts to the customer/supplier with authority.Ability efficiently to organise and co-ordinate their work.Ability to generate innovative solutions and to communicate themA willingness to travel overseasTeam player, well organised, communicative and determined, with the ability to work on their own initiative.
