Description: Do you want to work for a world leading company going from strength to strength?My client as a new vacancy for a Software Design Engineer to join its European Technology Centre in High Wycombe.This is a high growth international company committed to excellence. A global pioneer of SOPC solutions. They have 14,000 customers world wide.Responsibilities: External Memory interfaces on FPGAs use leading edge technology to enable the highest possible performance from the silicon, including custom circuits which are run time programmable and calibrated to the operating environment by a combination of hard and soft logic. You will be a member of the team developing external memory interface architectures and solutions for current and future FPGA families.Responsibilities include . Development of tools for VHDL and Verilog netlist generation. Specification and creation of Java based GUIs. Improving customer usability of IP through development of IP Advisor & hardware debug tools. Writing design and test specifications. Creating and maintaining build and regression test environmentsQualifications Required:You will have a good honours degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering. You must have strong software design skills and be able to appreciate electronic design issues.Essential Experience. Strong Java or C++ skillsExperience in some of the following would be beneficial. Java GUI. Familiarity with VHDL or Verilog for synthesis and/or simulation. Basic understanding of digital logic and FPGAs.
