Having established a reputation amongst clients and regulatory authorities for technical excellence, we combine technical capability with knowledge of the planning process, enabling the delivery of flood studies and flood risk assessments at all levels - from catchment-wide strategic studies to detailed site specific studies. Our projects, located across the UK, range from assessing the flood risk at small development sites to full two-dimensional floodplain analysis and sustainable drainage strategies for major urban extensions. With this broad range of experience and reputation for delivery, the Division is fast developing into one of the UK's leading water sector consultants.As an engineer or hydrologist with varied post graduate experience, this role will enhance your development. Whilst challenging, the breadth and depth of your involvement in projects will be substantial. This will involve -among other things - the production of flood risk assessment reports, sitedrainage strategies and sustainable drainage assessments, supported byhydraulic analysis using software such as Microdrainage. Also the roleprovides the opportunity to work in an experienced team of hydrologistsand river modelers and gain the opportunity to undertake river modelingusing software, such as HEC-RAS, ISIS and Tuflow. Responsible forpreparing and reviewing calculations, reports and drawings, this crucialrole carries with it significant opportunities for growth, both as an individualand as part of the team.Chartered or approaching, the individual who will make a real difference will have a sound understanding of the principles of flood risk and / or drainage and a solid technical background of related experience in drainage design. Adaptability, dedication, focus and a strong work ethic should all form part of the successful applicant's approach
