My client is the leading Employment Law and Health & Safety Consultancy in the UK. They are recruiting for city-centre Manchester based HR/Employment Law Advisors. I worked for the company for 6 years, so can advise any candidate on the business itself.Salary is £25k-£30k DOE, benefits include 27 days holiday (rising to 32 after qualifying period), Profit Related Pay, Referral Bonus Scheme and Pension.You will be giving pro-active and re-active generalist HR advise to Business Owners/Managers/Directors. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm. There is the opportunity to work overtime, which you would be paid for. A fantastic role for a candidate seeking stability in employment as the company is highly-profitable and has been for many years, with huge future growth plans. As Employment Law Consultant you will be responsible for providing pragmatic and helpful telephone advice on:HR/Employment issues to clients from a wide range organisations and industry sectors.Ensuring knowledge of employment law and personnel best practice is continually updatedDelivering the highest professional HR standards.Providing advisory skills to support your clients and build relationships in order to strengthen our service.Advise on the implementation of statute/contract compliance.You will need:- To provide pragmatic advice to a wide selection of industries - To ensure advice is legally compliant and robust- To work to find creative solutions to HR issues on behalf of clients- To take responsibility for providing professional services to our clientsYou must have HR experience, preferably to a senior level. Your understanding of employment law needs to accurate and precise dealing with all areas of disputes including:- Disciplinary & grievance- Trade Union Activity- Harassment & Bullying- Redundancies - Workers/self-employed status- Statutory entitlements- Sensitive issues i.e. abuseFor the role you will have:- HR experience at a senior level- Excellent problem-solving skills- Able to apply academic knowledge to a business context- Confident and demonstrates strong influencing skills
