Description: Training AdvisorThis National Charity is looking for a Training Advisor to work at two centres in East London to support learners in developing their knowledge and skills specifically in Child Care to help them to access appropriate training and employment opportunities, Training Advisors will deliver training and/or assess learner capability against national standards.Key Responsibilities:• Interview learners to assess their ability and potential against current programmes/services offered by the Centre. • Establish, build and maintain relationships with outside agencies.• Identify and secure suitable employer placements and ensure they meet The Client’s health and safety standards.• Assess learner skills and identify needs and support required, in order to produce an Individual Learning Plan (ILP)• Provide ongoing encouragement, guidance and support to learners and help them achieve their objectives.• Obtain feedback from learners to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.• Involve employers in the training process.Experience Required:• Knowledge and understanding of NVQs/SVQs.• Understanding of child/young person protection issues and policies preferable.• Accredited with the required TDLB D-units.• Skills & Abilities Required:- • Basic Counselling skills• Good presentation skills• Good written and oral communication skills• Planning and prioritising skills• IT skillsSalary C £20,000 plus 6 weeks holiday and Benefits.
