Our clients based in Swansea currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer / Technical Assistant. The company are a family owned business and employ 34 staff at their busy site. The main requirements of the role are as follows:-Maintaining project documentation and compiling technical files and manualsPreparation of cost estimates for sales quotationsAssisting with the design of process flow diagrams, defining instrumentation and control requirementsDesigning physical & control options for individual applicationsSourcing and procuring equipment and materials for plant constructionSupervision of construction of plant in workshops and liaison with workshop personnelCarrying out risk assessments and other safety related studiesLiaison with customers to discuss projects in progressOverall, carry a project through from inception to design, manufacture, installation & commissioning on customer’s productThe client are looking for somebody with the following experienceQualified to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline with a few years experience of working in equipment manufacturing Involvement in the design or specification of process equipment.Must have the ability to read and understand drawingsCompetency with compilation of documentation is critical, as are excellent administrative and organisational skillsMust be fully conversant with EXCEL as extensive use of spreadsheets is key to this roleSalary - £21,000 - £30,000 dep on exp25 Days Holiday + Bank HolidaysCompany Pension Scheme37.5 hour working weekMonday to Thursday 8.15am to 4.45pm, Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm.
