QA ManagerCornwall£28,000pa+Based in the beautiful West Country, my client has grown from a small Cornish manufacturer into one of the best known food brands in the country through a continued investment in its people, quality and its brand and facilities.They now have a vacancy for an experienced QA Manager, reporting to Head of Technical services.Main objective is to provide clear leadership of the Quality function in support of the bakeries objectives.As a manager within the bakery you are expected to meet all bakery KPIs through a process of leading, coaching, mentoring and challenging as well as actively support and deliver change oriented activities and projects.Key responsibilities*Strive to lead the business in attaining A grade standards*Initiates corrective action where A grade standards are not being achieved*See quality and technical compliance as your role*Enthuse and motivate others to work towards quality goals*Possess a business wide quality focus Knowledge & Skills requiredDegree/HND or equivalent in food related subject such as Food Technology Food science.Previous Technical experience of FMCG food related manufacturing operations.(Essential)Proven track record of managing a team and diverse technical activities.Proven track record in health & safety and management of quality systemsProven track record in microbiological and hygiene based management programmesAbility to interact with high profile customersComprehensive understanding of IPPC and environmental management systems.Awareness of Ethical trading requirements and control systems.Lead Assessor Audit qualifiedTo apply for this position, please send your CV to Louise
