This integrated financial services group is structured with critical mass to take advantage of the blurring of boundaries in the financial services industry and the convergence of products and services. The group provides a comprehensive range of products and services to the South African market and niche products in certain international markets. These products include... Retail Banking, Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Private Banking, Wealth Management, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Asset Management, Employee Benefits and Short-term Insurance. Due to continued growth a requirement for a Senior Wealth Manager has arisen within the Jersey operation. The successful applicant will be required to identify and generate significant new high net worth Private Client business from within the Channel Islands and to achieve agreed targets. Your aim will be to build a book of assets under management and to develop and retain these client relationships. Principal Accountabilities…Networking, prospecting and generation of new business opportunities. Assessing client needs and providing wealth solutions requiring detailed financial planning and an understanding of tax and investment/risk solutions. Manage the progression of pipeline business opportunities and agreed business development plans to ensure that the products and services meet client expectations, and that their requirements and solutions are properly documented. Progress approved sales campaigns and produce appropriate reports on the status and success of these. Analyse prospect and client databases to maximise opportunities for business development. Develop close working relationships with clients to ensure that the business potential of each is maximised. Recommending appropriate strategic plans to gain Management approval and to then implement. Motivate support personnel to exceed their objectives/targets and client service expectations and to assist in the identification of prospects and new business opportunities. Maintain an excellent awareness and understanding of industry, market and product developments in order to facilitate the creation of appropriate business development strategies. Ideal candidates… …will have an outstanding and proven track record in Private Client business development coupled with an unquestionable ability to prospect for new business, network and identify opportunities to implement in pursuit of business goals. You would also be expected to have an excellent working knowledge of the investment industry, investment management techniques, and investment products. Other qualities will include an excellent understanding of the benefits of establishing trusts and private investment companies and how they are administered, an ability to prepare and conduct effective presentations to both large and small audiences, excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the appropriate professional qualifications and Regulatory requirements such as CF30.
