Description:
Purchasing Manager required for a well established electromechanical company in the South. This is the ideal opportunity for the right person to take the next step in the career and become a Purchasing Manager. As Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for a small team working within a manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will be to negotiate, maintain and develop effective working relationships with suppliers, to examine the current structure and operations with a view of implementing improvements. You will also be responsible for implementing an inventory strategy to include the introduction of additional kanban supplies. Candidates for the position of Purchasing Manager should ideally be CIPS qualified with proven experience in a manufacturing environment and sourcing materials and services from new suppliers. Final salary pension scheme, life assurance, 22 days holiday and a 37.5 hour week (Early finish on a Friday)Our client is located in the South and commutable from Hampshire, Hants, West Sussex, Chichester, Havant, Portsmouth, Fareham, Petersfield, Gosport and Waterlooville.
